A shocking video of a teenage schoolboy brandishing a huge blade at a bus stop has emerged after it was circulated on social media.
The appalling footage shows a school pupil casually showing off the blade which he reveals from the waistband of his trousers.
In the footage the boy can be heard boasting: “It’s quite hefty isn’t it.”
The recording, which has since been widely shared on Snapchat, alarmingly shows the boy turning towards the camera waving the knife from side to side.
The boy, a former Ysgol Eirias pupil from Colwyn Bay, can then be heard saying: “Could actually rob some s**t you know.”
The footage was sent to North Wales Live, who had approached police for a comment on the video.
A spokesperson for Ysgol Eirias school said: “The Incident happened in the community, not on school premises, and was filmed in October.
“The pupil is no longer in attendance at the school.”
The footage comes after a school in nearby Old Colwyn was evacuated yesterday following reports of a pupil with a knife.
In 2020 a former Ysgol Eirias pupil was sentenced to 12 years detention for the attempted murder of a fellow student when he stabbed the victim in the shoulder in February 2019.
