A mum was moved to tears after the incredible response following a "horrific" ordeal.
Christianna Peterson, from Bootle, was lying in bed one evening when she saw a "cruel" video being shared on social media of an 11-year-old boy being savagely attacked. A young boy was out playing football with his friends on May 2 at Adlam Park when he was grabbed by the neck and kicked.
The ECHO previously reported on the video footage in which you hear one of the boys say "I'll stab your da in the neck you fat c***". Shared on social media by the boy's mum, who wishes to remain anonymous, it was viewed thousands of times as she appealed for help.

Christianna said after watching the awful video, she lay in bed crying. She told the ECHO: "I turned it off half way through, it was horrible to watch. It was just playing on my mind so I messaged the mum who shared it.
"I said my stomach was turning, is your little boy okay and she got back to me and we got talking about how it all came about."
Christianna, who runs Enchanted Events & Party Management, knew she wanted to do something to help and make the young boy smile. Appealing on social media, the offers to help came pouring in.
She told the ECHO: "I asked the mum if his birthday was coming up so we could do something to make him feel really special but she said it was his birthday the next morning. It played on my mind and I felt terrible.
"I was tossing and turning thinking about what I could do for this kid. My Facebook is brilliant, I used to do charity work so everyone is always supporting me, so I said I'd do a raffle and give any money raised to him for his birthday.
"It was meant to be my business raffling a few packages but it took off. Within 24-hours we raised £300 and took it around to him, he was so lovely and gave me a hug. He walked me out and like a little gentleman said it was getting dark, get home safe.
"It's been a whirlwind the way it's picked up. Everyone was shocked by what they'd seen and wanted to help. I couldn't have done it without everyone getting involved.
"It just took off. It went huge and I was made up for him. Money doesn't fix or change things but it was more to show him there's more good than bad and there are a lot of people that want to help. He's not even my child and I was crying.
"It's easy for people to scroll past and ignore but so many people wanted to come forward and help. The video was horrible to see. It's just wrong, how did they find that behaviour entertaining? If my child was being bullied I'd be distraught, but if they were doing the bullying, I'd be mortified."
Since the incident the mum said her son has "a lump on the side of his head" and she had "noticed a change" in his behaviour. She took her son to Alder Hey Children's Hospital to be checked over.
She previously spoke out about the immense support from friends and strangers alike. She said: "I just want to thank everyone in the community for their support and kindness, and putting things together for my son after his horrific time of bullying. We're so grateful and absolutely touched by all their support.
"I couldn't be any more proud of this city, we stick together when we need to. I'm proud to be Scouse I just want everyone to know we appreciate them all for what they've done and we can't thank them enough.
"Hopefully this sends out a message that we do not stand for bullies in our city and we don't tolerate threats with knives or knife crime at all."
