Schoolboy, 13, dies after being hit by car

A 13-year-old boy who was hit by a car on Wednesday night has died, Merseyside Police has confirmed.

Harry Kinney-Ryan was struck by a silver Vauxhall Astra Estate as he walked on East Lancashire Road, close to the Stonedale Retail Park, at 7.25pm on Wednesday, December 7.

He was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in a critical condition, where he died of his injuries yesterday, December 9 - a month before his 14th birthday.
