School to pay $1m to family of student who died after eating teacher’s granola bar

A school has agreed to pay $1million (£823,00) to the family of a student who died after eating his teacher's granola bar.

The Papillion La Vista school board voted on the wrongful death settlement of 14-year-old Jagger Shaw on Monday evening after the student died in May, 2022.

Jagger, who attended Liberty Middle School in Nebraska, US, was offered a granola bar after he asked to go to his teacher's office for a snack.
