A teenage girl who was arrested after two pupils and a member of staff were injured in a knife attack at a school has been detained under the Mental Health Act.

The 14-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of assault after officers were called to reports of a stabbing at the Co-op Academy in north Manchester on Tuesday morning, according to Greater Manchester Police.
