Prime Video's three-part docuseries Murder 101, based on the hit US podcast of the same name, may look like another entry in the ever-growing true crime genre.
Each episode runs for about an hour, but all three are surprisingly compelling, emotionally resonant and ultimately far more uplifting than I expected.
The series follows a case that haunted Tennessee's top detectives for decades until it was cracked wide open with the help of some highly unlikely investigators -- a high school sociology class.
