After Cleveland dot com’s Mary Kay Cabot released a report just a day ago that quarterback Deshaun Watson could miss more games beyond this Week 6 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, another conflicting report has also dropped. ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that the Cleveland Browns are hopeful that Watson will return to the field next week against the Indianapolis Colts.
Schefter reported two different quotes from two different sources on the Watson situation. Here is what they had to say:
“Hopefully he’ll be back next week.”
“He could be back next week.”
This would be a massive boost to the Browns if they could get him back as they begin a stretch of eight AFC games over their last 12. The season is still very much in front of the team no matter what the outcome of Sunday’s game against the 49ers is. Getting Watson back under center, however, is the first and largest step of that process.
