Viewers of the new Game of Thrones spin-off series House of the Dragon are hooked with the new series despite hating the end of Game of Thrones.
Irish fans don’t have long left to wait to get their fix, as tonight they will be able to watch episode one of House of the Dragon.
Although it is the successor of Game of Thrones, it’s actually the prequel.

The spin-off series has already premiered in the US, and drew a strong reaction from fans.
Fans of the show were left teary eyed at the prequel and have marked the new series as “the return of real television”.
After the ending of GOT left fans feeling underwhelmed, creators had been hoping for a more promising response for House of the Dragon.
The new series is set to focus on events taking place some 200 years before Game of Thrones, a whole new generation of characters will be introduced.
The show is set at a time when the Targaryen dynasty is at its peak, with King Viserys (Paddy Considine) in the Iron Throne.
Commenting on the premiere, one delighted fan shared: “House of the dragon sucked me back into got so fast I'm honestly embarrassed for myself.”
A second avid fan shared how they were already ‘hooked’, saying: “I went in with very low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. It nailed that Game of Thrones feel and I’m hyped to see how they handle this story as the characters and setting hooked me.”
While another said: “Wow! Absolutely loved the premiere of House of the Dragon! Hooked already.”
Other fans were just happy to hear the Game of Thrones theme song again.
One fan said: “Almost shed a tear when I heard the theme song of Game Of Thrones while watching House Of The Dragon. GOT is the only series that captured my heart and soul.”
The debut episode, titled The Heirs of the Dragon, broadcasts for the first time tonight in Ireland.
The 10-part series already kicked off on Sunday in the US on HBO Max, and viewers truly loved it.
House Of The Dragon chronicles the beginning of the end of House Targaryen and the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, known as the Dance of the Dragons.
As fans of the original eight-season series will know, Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, was a major character in the main series and featured heavily in the finale.
Based on author George RR Martin's Fire And Blood, the new series reportedly cost up to £17m (€20 million) per episode to make.
George R.R. Martin pushed for “House of the Dragon” to be the first “Game of Thrones” spinoff.
What time is House of the Dragon on TV in Ireland?
Irish viewers will be able to catch the premiere on Sky Atlantic at 9pm tonight or the streaming service NOW.
The show boasts a talented cast including some familiar faces, like Matt Smith (Doctor Who, The Crown) and Paddy Considine (The Death of Stalin, In America).
Dragons, family feuding, and dethroning are on the cards for the new cast of characters.
