SCB course to shape new leaders

Mr Chanond and Ms Lalitphat introduce the The 45 Academia programme, which is expected to cultivate the leaders of tomorrow.

SCB-Julius Baer Securities Co, a strategic joint venture between Siam Commercial Bank and Julius Baer, has launched its latest venture -- The 45 Academia programme -- aimed at cultivating the "leaders of tomorrow".

This initiative is a core pillar of the bank's "New Wave of Wealth" strategy, a comprehensive approach to serve Thailand's high net worth individuals.

Aimed at fostering the next generation of influential wealth leaders, The 45 Academia programme is designed to develop business heirs and empower them with the knowledge and expertise to deliver significant social contributions in the future.

The curriculum provides comprehensive training in wealth management and investment practices, while integrating a critical self-development module.

The programme incorporates renowned chief executives and leading businessmen from Thailand and around the world as course advisors.

The curriculum includes a business trip to Switzerland, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience at Julius Baer's headquarters. The International Institute for Management Development is facilitating practical workshops as part of the programme.

"We understand the pivotal role of wealth transfer for high net worth individuals in Thailand. Our programme targets the next generation of business heirs, empowering them to become influential leaders who can positively impact society," said Lalitphat Toranavikrai, chief executive of SCB-Julius Baer Securities.

Chanond Ruangkritya, chief executive of Ananda Development and dean of The 45 Academia, said leadership demands adaptability and a dedication to lifelong learning.

He said the curriculum has been designed to shape future leaders who extend their influence beyond the accumulation of personal wealth, focusing on generating innovative solutions that benefit society holistically.

Adrian Mazenauer, head of wealth management at SCB Julius Baer, serves as the curriculum director. Praiwan Dhungsunundhana serves as programme director of the SCB Julius Baer Academy.

The team of advisors includes Chalermchai Mahagitsiri, president and chief executive of Thoresen Thai Agencies; Karndee Leopairote, chief of foresight and digital assets at FutureTales Lab, DTGO Group; Rawit Hanutsaha, chief executive of Srichand United Dispensary Co; Thana Thienachariya, board chairman of Bluebik Group; and Yupapin Wangviwat, deputy chief executive and chief financial officer of Gulf Energy Development.
