Scarlett Moffatt's family look very different from Gogglebox days in sweet Christmas snap

Gogglebox fans were delighted to see some North East favourites over the festive season after former star Scarlett Moffatt shared photos of "one of the best Christmases ever" with her family.

The County Durham star, 32, was home for the holidays where she spent quality time with her parents Mark and Betty, little sister Ava-Grace, and the family dogs. And the Moffatts looked very different to when they were last seen on the Channel 4 show six years ago, as Scarlett posted some snaps of the occasion on her Instagram page.

Mam Betty has switched her brunette hair for platinum blonde locks, while sister Ava-Grace, now 16 years old, looked a lot more grown-up than when she last appeared on Gogglebox aged 10. Meanwhile, Scarlett, who worked on the checkouts at Asda in Bishop Auckland before finding fame on the show, posed with fiancé Scott Dobinson and wrote a touching message to her loved ones.

Scarlett wrote alongside the sweet photos: "You realise as you get older the magic of Christmas is being loved and everything else is a bonus. Honestly had one of the best Christmases ever because I spent it with family, best friends, my doggies and of course my [boyfriend] @scottdobby. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas."

Fans were happy to see the family again after they left Gogglebox at the end of 2016 when Scarlett was crowned Queen of the Jungle in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. One person commented on Instagram: "Lovely to see the pics of your lovely mum and dad, I still miss them on Gogglebox."

Scarlett also issued a powerful message before Christmas encouraging fans to love their bodies and not let body confidence issues spoil their festive celebrations. She told The Mirror: "My friends all wanted to lose a few pounds to get into their little party dresses, and I just think life is too short.

"Christmas is about enjoyment, not denying yourself. When you ask me what I am looking forward to at Christmas, I wouldn’t like to think anyone would answer that, saying 'It’s to look really skinny in that dress'," she added.
