Scarlett Moffatt gives birth to first child and shares sweet snaps and name of new son

Scarlett Moffatt has welcomed her first child with partner Scot Dobinson.

After announcing her pregnancy back in February, the presenter has given birth to a baby boy, taking to social media on Thursday to share adorable post-birth pictures. Scarlett has also revealed that her bundle of joy arrived earlier than expected, but all appear to be doing well.

In a carousel of snaps, the new mum can be seen embracing the adorable tot just moments after delivering, as Scot looks on in amazement. Revealing his name, she captioned the post: "Jude Xavier Dobinson."

As reported by the Mirror, Scarlett went on to write: "My darling boy I can’t stop crying looking at you as I can’t quite believe you’re mine."You wanted to meet us early at just 35 weeks.

"Me & your daddy love you so much that I can’t even put this feeling into words. Our heart and soul feels complete & ready to burst. I will forever and always be grateful to be your mammy."

Praising her partner, she continued: "I Can’t thank @scottdobby enough & to the midwife’s Helen & Charlotte & all of the NHS team at Durham Hospital. You will all forever hold a special place in my heart for looking after us all with such compassion. Let the baby bubble commence"

Her post which has racked up over 43,000 likes was soon flooded with comments, with Love Island legend Amy Hart writing: "Congrats," alongside a series of red hearts. Meanwhile, Scarlett's pal Callum penned: "Finally! I can’t wait to meet him! Love you xxxx."

"Ahhhh congratulations babe! Gorgeous," commented West End star Lucie Jones. Just days before the birth of their gorgeous son, the former Gogglebox star appeared in a reflective mood as she shared what she will miss about being pregnant.

Posting a full-length mirror selfie, with her bump on full display, she wrote: "Gonna miss wearing these little stretchy numbers, gonna miss me big old bump but so excited. Really not long to go."

Her reflective mood continued as she posted a snap of herself and Scott with their dog. She said: "Did anyone else when they’re pregnant think wow this is the last time we are doing this before everything changes.

Me and @scottdobby had our last day at the beach as a family of 3 before our baby boy comes along. "So exciting to think when we go back we will be pushing a pram."

As Scarlett celebrated her new arrival at her baby shower, she admitted she never knew if she would be a mum. "As someone who never knew If she would be a mammy I literally felt on cloud nine at my baby shower," she told her fans.

"I felt so overwhelmed with love and it finally feels real we are going to have a little boy. There’s lots of people I want to thank for my baby shower including my friends & family especially my mam for organising it all."

The fan-favourite Gogglebox star announced her pregnancy with an adorable snap of her very first baby scan, telling fans that her dreams had finally come true. She posted: "It truly feels like a dream writing this caption. Me and Scott are on cloud nine and we are so happy that we get to share this moment with you all.

"You are so loved already little one."

The couple began dating in 2018 but didn't go public with their relationship until March 2019. It is not known why Scarlett feared she would struggle to conceive, but in 2020 she appeared on Lorraine where she said she had to have abnormal cells removed from her cervix.

Scarlett had planned to have a natural birth and even asked her fans for help on what to expect. She was recommended to make a playlist by one fan, to which she commented: "Such a good idea. I find music really helps my anxiety in every situation so I'll be putting together a playlist."
