Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the final of the 2021-22 Champions League after a dramatic pair of semi-final ties.
After the Reds overcame a scare against Villarreal to win 5-2 on aggregate, it was the turn of Manchester City and Madrid on Wednesday, with the Premier League side holding a 4-3 advantage after the first leg.
City appeared on course for the final too, as Riyad Mahrez's strike gave them a two-goal cushion. However, Los Blancos launched a remarkable late comeback, as two goals from Rodrygo after the 90th minute took the game to extra time, before Karim Benzema's penalty sent Carlo Ancelotti's team through.

The final will be a repeat of the 2018 showpiece between Liverpool and Real, which was won 3-1 by the latter after two goals from Gareth Bale and a goalkeeping meltdown from Loris Karius.
However, the current version of Liverpool is a different proposition and they will be favourites when the two teams go head-to-head in Paris.
Liverpool fans were naturally glued to the action, with plenty stunned by Madrid's latest comeback and a remarkable meltdown from City.
Reds supporters will be hoping the nature of the loss for City has a knock-on effect in the Premier League this weekend, as Liverpool trail Pep Guardiola's side by a point with four games to play in the title race.
If City were to slip up, then Jurgen Klopp and his team would be well on course for an incredible quadruple.
