Ollie Pope went into Bazball overdrive and Joe Root got at least some time in the middle on a day when veteran England paceman Mark Wood received good news on the injury front.

England snared a five-wicket win in their three-day warm-up match against an England Lions side at Lilac Hill on Saturday, chasing down the victory target of 202 in 34.4 overs.
