Delhi: A day after Delhi government announced to suspend physical classes for all scholls except for students in classes 10 and 12, the Supreme Court on Monday ordered closure of physical classes for all standards up to class 12th in Delhi-NCR due to deteriorating pollution levels.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Sunday night announced that physical classes are suspended for all scools except for students in classes 10 and 12.

"With the imposition of GRAP-4 from tomorrow, physical classes shall be discontinued for all students, apart from Class 10 and 12. All schools will hold online classes, until further orders," Delhi CM said in a social media post.

The Apex Court ordered that GRAP-4 restrictions will remain in effect until further notice from the court which was hearing a plea over the pollution crisis.

According to reports, a bench of Justices Abhay S Oka and Augustine George Masih slammed the Delhi government and the Central Commission for Air Quality Management for 'delaying the implementation of GRAP-4'.
