SC judge flags deepfakes, cyberstalking as new threats to women

Bengaluru: Supreme Court judge Justice B V Nagarathna on Saturday advocated for providing legal aid to women immediately after an incident while flagging recent amendments in Karnataka that have curtailed the High Court's jurisdiction over regular first appeals.

She was speaking after inaugurating a two-day South Zone Regional Conference on "Justice for Women", organised by the National Commission for Women in association with the High Court of Karnataka and the Karnataka Judicial Academy.
