With the cost of living crisis hitting the UK, parents are having to be extra savvy when it comes to buying their kids' clothes.
While Christmas jumpers aren't exactly an essential item because it may only be worn once or twice, it's something many people find joy in having.
With Christmas Jumper Day coming up (On December 8), many will no doubt be trying to find one that also doesn't break the bank.
One mum was thrilled to share how she managed to get both her children's Christmas jumper from the Vinted website for £6.50 plus postage, Manchester Evening News reports.
Mum Agnesa wrote on a Facebook coupon and bargain group: "They are in immaculate condition because kids outgrow them so fast and usually just wear them once". She added: "Also great way to recycle".
Vinted is an online marketplace for buying, selling and exchanging new or second-hand items, mainly clothing and accessories.
More than 150 parents responded, with many of them that they are going down the same route this year – buying used closed from places like Vinted, eBay or a local charity shop.
One person who also used the website shared: "I got my son's jumper from Vinted for £2. Never been worn before either, absolute bargain."
Another parent said she had both bought and sold clothes on Vinted, explaining: "I just ordered my son's on Vinted last night and also sold three that have been hardly worn. Deffo [sic] agree as they cost so much now."
Another parent said: "I always grab them from the charity shop for a pound or two. Mine only wear them on Christmas Jumper Day."
Mum-of-three Agnesa was incredibly pleased about so many people using Vinted to shop for their kids recently.
She told Manchester Evening News: "It’s amazing. It has been a godsend to me the last few weeks in terms of school occasions and general wear like pyjamas.
"It helped me out financially and it would be great to help out other families."
The festive season can cost a fortune for families, but there are ways of keeping the costs down if you plan ahead.
For example, be realistic, and suggest a family secret Santa instead of buying everyone presents.
You also don't have to spend loads of money on a Christmas tree.
According to Which?, the cheapest tree can be found at Aldi for just £14.99 for a 1.5-1.75m Scottish-grown Nordmann tree.
