Sauté pans sold at three major retailers recalled over burn risk

  • Approximately 740,000 sets of Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pans have been recalled in the US due to a burn hazard.
  • The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall, stating that the metal cap on the pan's handle screw can detach and forcefully eject when heated.
  • Importer E Mishan & Sons, Inc. has received nearly 100 reports of the cap detaching, with one incident resulting in bruising and burn injuries.
  • The recalled pans came in a two-piece set with a 10-inch pan and an 11.5-inch pan.
  • Consumers who bought the pans from Costco, Walmart, or Amazon between August 2021 and February are advised to stop using them immediately and return them for a full refund.
