Sausage and Cider Festival set to return to Nottingham's Wollaton Park for 2023

The Sausage and Cider Festival is set to return to Nottingham this year. The popular festival is making a return to Wollaton Hall and Deer Park on Saturday, May 27.

Tickets are now available for the event which hosts live music, sausage and chili eating competitions.

Festival-goers can experience more than 25 different types of ‘unique’ cider on sale from all corners of the UK, including rhubarb, Cherry Bakewell cider, pineapple and chocolate.

For those who don’t drink cider there are many alternatives such as beer, gin, prosecco and soft drinks. Rock band Toploader - best known for the well-known Dancing in the Moonlight - will headline the event, alongside a variety of tribute acts such as Kings of Indie Rock and an Oasis tribute.

Visitors can take part in two food challenges - on-stage speed sausage eating contests and six-round chili eating competitions.

The festival is set to begin at 2pm until 11pm, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by someone above the age of 21. It’s important to note that no more than three under 18s can be accompanied by the same 21-year-old.

The festival's marketing manager Tom Cullen said: “Sausage and Cider Festival outdoors is a feel-good event with great music, a huge variety of cider flavours and great independent food operators. We are excited to be able to host our outside event in Nottingham again for a bigger and better event than ever before."

In 2022, the organisers welcomed more than 80,000 visitors nationwide to their festivals and visited more than 50 locations across the UK from Devon to Scotland. Pre-sale tickets for the event at Wollaton Park sold out within only a few days.
