Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz on Monday sent a cable to Türkiye’s President Recep Tayib Erdogan offering his condolences over the victims of a terrorist explosion that rocked the Taksim Square in Istanbul.
King Salman said: “We received the news about the terror explosion in the Takism area in the center of Istanbul and about the deaths and casualties it caused. We strongly denounce this criminal attack and we share your sorrow, assuring you that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands by the Turkish republic and by its brethren peoples. We express our deep sorrow to the families of the victims and to the Turkish people, and wish a speedy recovery for the wounded, asking almighty Allah to spare your country and brethren people from all harm.”
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohamed bin Salman also sent a cable of condolences to Türkiye’s President.
He expressed deep sorrow saying: "I denounce the cowardly and criminal act, sending my deep condolences to your Excellency and to the brotherly Turkish people and to the families of the deceased asking almighty Allah to cure the wounded soon.”
