Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah said on Tuesday the Kingdom is keen on building bridges of communication with Thailand and working with all partners around the world to support international peace and security.
He said Tuesday's visit by Thai Premier Prayut Chan-o-cha to Riyadh is part of efforts to reach understandings and hold consultations over pending issues.
It also aims to bolster bilateral coordination on several issues of interest and exchange views over regional and international developments, he added.
Saudi Arabia and Thailand look forward to intensifying joint work over all affairs related to preserving security and stability and combating terrorism and extremism in all their forms, stressed Prince Faisal.
They will continue to develop their relations in all domains and maintain political and economic cooperation, he remarked.
They will extend bridges of communication to achieve the aspirations of their leaderships and peoples and broaden their relations, he went on to say.
Prince Faisal said Riyadh and Bangkok will expand their economic cooperation in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, noting that Saudi exports to Thailand reached 4 billion dollars in 2020, while Thai exports to the Kingdom reached 1.65 billion that same year.
