Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, welcomed on Friday US President Joe Biden at the al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz is set to meet with Biden at the al-Salam Palace.
Biden had arrived in Jeddah moments earlier on an official visit at the invitation of King Salman.
He was welcomed upon his arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Governor of the Makkah Region Prince Khalid al-Faisal and Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar.
Biden will attend a summit called for by King Salman for the Gulf Cooperation Council leaders. The summit will be attended by Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi.
