Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met in Riyadh on Thursday with Russia's Special Presidential Envoy for Syrian Settlement Alexander Lavrentiev, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The envoy conveyed the greetings of President Vladimir Putin to the Crown Prince, who in turn sent his greetings to the Russian President, SPA said.
During the talks, the two sides reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries as well as developments in Syria, the news agency said.
It added that the meeting was attended by Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and Chief of General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan. On the Russian side, it was attended by the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Special Envoy and Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department Ambassador Alexander Kinschak.
