Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman has affirmed the need for enhancing international cooperation in energy fields and industry innovations to serve global trends in the field of sustainability and preservation of the planet.
Prince Abdulaziz has been meeting with ministers from all over the world to discuss the matter ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), which kicks off on Sunday in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
On Friday, Prince Abdulaziz held a virtual meeting with Rob Jetten, Minister of Climate and Energy Policy of the Netherlands.
During the telephone conversation, the two ministers agreed to further enhance the bilateral relationship between Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands in the field of energy.
On Thursday evening, Prince Abdulaziz held a virtual meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Arifin Tasrif.
The two ministers emphasized the importance of the brotherly relations between Indonesia and the Kingdom. They noted that Saudi Arabia continues to be a trusted partner and major oil and refined products supplier to Indonesia.
Both ministers stressed the importance of increasing cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector, such as investment opportunities in refining, petrochemicals, electricity, and renewables.
