Saudi Arabia condemned on Monday the repeated attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against the Kingdom and Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
The latest of these attacks targeted Dhahrab Al Janub and the industrial zone in Jazan. Two foreign residents were slightly wounded in the attack.
Saudi Arabia expressed its rejection and condemnation of all terrorist attacks by the Houthis against the Kingdom, UAE and international trade routes in the Red Sea.
These acts are committed by the "forces of terrorism that have spread corruption in Yemen and killed its dear people," it added.
The Houthis have expanded their attacks to destabilize the region, it continued.
Moreover, Saudi Arabia stressed that the Houthis' insistence on carrying out their attacks is an act of defiance against the international community and flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
The Kingdom warned of the danger posed by the Houthis against the region and its stability.
It stressed the urgent need for the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to act to put an end to this hostile behavior and preserve international peace and security.
