Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit held talks in Brussels on Monday with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
The meeting focused on ways to revive the Middle East peace process according to international resolutions and the 2002 Arab peace initiative.
They tackled the importance of intensifying international efforts to reach a just and comprehensive solution that will in turn bolster regional and international security and peace.
Prince Faisal and Borrell also held bilateral talks that addressed Saudi-EU ties and ways to bolster them. They tackled cooperation in all fields and joint coordination between them.
They exchanged views on the Iranian nuclear program and the international negotiations over them.
The officials discussed the latest regional and international developments and the efforts exerted towards them to boost international peace and security.
