A devastated Scottish family are being 'booted out' of Australia over issues with their visa, despite having lived in the country for 10 years.

Mark Green, his wife Kelly and their daughter Rebecca, moved from Prestwick, Ayrshire to Oz in 2012 after skilled electrician Mark was headhunted by a solar power company that offered to sponsor his Visa.

The hardworking family have spent the last decade building a decent life for themselves in Adelaide and are 'absolutely gutted' at the prospect of leaving the country.

Scots teacher who kissed pupil breaks down after watchdog rules fitness to teach is impaired

A Scots teacher who kissed a teenage pupil in a nightclub broke down in tears after a watchdog deemed her fitness to teach as impaired.

Ashley McConnell has been fighting to get back in the classroom after being found to have kissed a 17-year-old pupil at Skinandi's nightclub in Caithness in March 2018.

The married physics teacher, who taught at Thurso High School in Caithness, kissed, danced flirtatiously and held hands with the teen during the night in question.

Scots dad has arm amputated after grazing knuckles while tinkering with car

Stephen Rae almost died three times from the sepsis infection which began after he cut his hand (Daily Record)

A Scots dad was forced to have his arm amputated after he grazed his knuckles while tinkering with his car and developed deadly sepsis.

Stephen Rae, from Cumbernauld, was working on his motor when he injured his right hand in May 2017 but dismissed it as a minor cut which soon scabbed over.

The following month, the 40-year-old woke to discover his right forearm was extremely swollen before being admitted to hospital on an IV drip to treat the blood poisoning.

Glasgow and Edinburgh Pride events see Scotland's biggest cities decked in colour

Glasgow and Edinburgh were decked in colour today for the Pride marches that took place today in both cities.

The events were organised, for the first time since the Covid pandemic struck, amid Pride Month and are a celebration of LGBTQ+ culture in Scotland.

At both parades, colurful revellers waved flags and banners from across the LGTBQ+ community as they marched through the city centres.

Ian Blackford urged to quit over claims he bullied victim of sex pest SNP MP Patrick Grady

SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford has been urged to quit over claims he bullied the victim of sex pest MP Patrick Grady.

The complainer alleged Blackford "stared him down" and "gave him the silent treatment" in the House of Commons after he put in a complaint against his ally.

He said: “Staring down and giving the silent treatment to staff that come forward with complaints made me feel as if I was being blamed as the victim.”
