Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson charged with reckless driving after crashing car into house

Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson has been charged with reckless driving following an incident which occurred in March this year, when the 29-year-old comedian and actor was reportedly involved in a car crash in Los Angeles.

The Suicide Squad actor allegedly hit a fire hydrant and crashed into the side of a house around 11pm with his girlfriend and co-star Chase Sui Wonders reportedly in the car, reports Deadline news.

Greg Risling, LA County District Attorney's office assistant chief of media relations told the publication: "We believe that Mr Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home

"Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision. We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences."

The charge is being treated as a misdemeanour.

The 29-year-old acting star has been involved in three major action franchise films this year already with his debut in Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 as he dips his toe in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He also voiced Mirage, one of the film's main characters, in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and also made a cameo appearance in Fast X , the first part of the two (or three)-part finale of the high-octane series, reports DigitalSpy.
