Scottish singer Darius Campbell Danesh died of ‘inhalation of chloroethane’

Former Pop Idol star Darius Campbell Danesh died from "inhalation of chloroethane", the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed.

The Scottish star was found dead in his US apartment, in Rochester, Minnesota, last month at the age of 41. Autopsy documents obtained by the PA news agency listed "toxic effects of chloroethane" as well as "suffocation" as having contributed to his death.

Chloroethane, commonly known as ethyl chloride, is a colorless, flammable gas or refrigerated liquid with a faintly sweet odour.

Claims Prince Harry 'told Meghan not welcome at Balmoral to see The Queen'

Prince Harry was informed "Meghan would not be welcome" at Balmoral by his father, King Charles III, as the Royal Family gathered to be with the Queen in her final hours, sources claim.

The claims were made following the death of the Queen on Thursday afternoon. Harry was first to depart from Balmoral the following day and was also the last to arrive.

Harry and his beloved grandmother shared a close bond in happier times and had a playful rapport, as the public glimpsed in 2016 when they appeared in a comic video.

The Queen's upcoming funeral will be a bank holiday in the United Kingdom.

King Charles approved an order for the bank holiday during his proclamation ceremony at St James's Palace on Saturday morning. The monarch was proclaimed at the Accession Council, two days after the death of his mother at 96.

Scottish school closures announced ahead of Queen’s coffin arrival in Edinburgh as huge crowds expected

Royal Mile Primary School will close for two days next week (Google)

Two primary schools and a nursery in the capital are set to close as huge crowds flock to Edinburgh to pay their respects to the Queen. Council chiefs have confirmed that the Royal Mile Primary School and Abbeyhill Primary School will close their doors for 48 hours from September 12.

Cowgate Early Years Centre will also be shut on Monday and Tuesday next week due to a number of emergency road closures in the surrounding area. Children will be offered remote learning instead with parents and carers notified of the closures.

King Charles and the ultimate Rangers tradition as third monarch set for Ibrox honour

Rangers strike legend Ally McCoist and current goalkeeper Allan McGregor have both shared the famous portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II which proudly hangs in the home dressing at Ibrox Stadium.

It is one of two of Britain's longest-serving monarch who died on Thursday, aged 96, at Balmoral after reigning for 70 years. One hangs above the captain's peg and the other above the door to the changing area for the home players. King Charles III will likely be given his place inside the Ibrox dressing room.
