The old showbiz adage, 'never work with children or animals' certainly came true for this family's Christmas photoshoot. Things did not exactly go to plan for their festive activity when their 15-month-old tot dictated just how the day should go.
Parents Phoebe Felix and her fiancé Dale Mason arranged the photo session around Rosie-Lena, but they weren't betting on this little cutie making all the demands.. With a snuggly background featuring a roaring fire, Phoebe placed Rosie-Lena - looking sweet in her tartan dress - in position, waiting for the photographer to start snapping away.
Unfortunately, there was a problem. Whenever Dale tried to get out of the shot, the 'daddy's girl' started to scream. After several attempts and with no sign of Rosie-Lena backing down, the parents had to improvise. There was no way this photo was going to happen without him in the photo - somewhere.
Phoebe, from Oldham, Greater Manchester, explained: "Rosie-Lena wasn't impressed, I couldn't get a picture with just me there because she just cried.
"There was a blanket next to Dale and I said 'why don't we just try and put the blanket over you?' We sat her on him and it worked. I think he would have done anything to stop her crying to be honest. That's why she's such a daddy's girl - he just does everything for her."
In a lovely clip shared online, Phoebe can't stop laughing at her daughter's antics, while Dave tries to persuade his daughter to ' smile to the camera'.
Phoebe loves the relationship between Rosie and her dad, Dale, as she gushes: "She's a proper daddy's girl. He can't go anywhere without her."
Photographer Andy is also godfather so knows Rosie very well. When he offered to take Christmas pics of their toddler, they jumped at the chance.
The couple had fork out for the photos, so were determined they would come away with something, even if it took drastic measures. The results are a delight, and the photos and the photo session have thrilled TikTok viewers.
"I didn't think it would get as many views as it did but everyone loved it."
Dale was also surprised so many liked the video: "I didn't expect I'd go viral on TikTok. I was just lay there thinking 'how is this happening?' It was £50 that photoshoot. I thought she had better be still because we'd paid good money for that. It was a bit chaotic so it was just a mad idea at the time.
"It's so funny because you can hear Baby Shark in the background. We tried loads of things to get her to chill and it just happened to work with me laid under the blanket. The best thing is that you can see my feet sticking out."
There were many affectionate comments to the TikTok video.
One said: "That's going to be a great story to tell her while growing up."
Another added: "This is the cutest. He will forever cherish this photo of his little girl."
