Sarah Michelle Gellar has confirmed the wild rumour that Dolly Parton actually was a 'secret producer' on Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
The music icon had a hand in the cult show, which aired from 1997 until 2003.
Sarah, 45, played the monster hunter for seven seasons and it seems that Dolly helped shape what she was doing.
She said on during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that it is a "little known fact the legend, Dolly Parton was a producer".
But she went on to add that the star was rarely seen on set in the six years they were shooting, keeping it all quite low key.
However, 77-year-old Dolly did leave the cast feeling special.
Sarah said: "We got Christmas gifts in the beginning that would have our name on, and I would think 'She doesn't even know who I am!'"
She went on: "One day someone asked her about it, she complimented the show and my performance and I was like, 'Oh, I can die now. Dolly Parton knows who I am and thinks I'm good!'."
But fans of Buffy were dealt a huge blow as Sarah ruled out any return to the role.
They have been clinging to the hope of a reunion series being announced, 20 years on from the final show being filmed.
However, she believes her time on the show is well and truly over and any revival of the show would require a new star to take over the main role.
But if the programme was to get a re-boot, the actress put her weight behind Zendaya taking up the lead role.
Speaking to SFX Magazine, she admitted there's no chance she will be back in front of the camera as the character.
She said: "I am very proud of the show that we created, and (a revival) doesn’t need to be done. We wrapped that up.
"I am all for them continuing the story, because there’s the story of female empowerment.
"I love the way the show was left: ‘Every girl who has the power can have the power.’ It’s set up perfectly for someone else to have the power.
"But like I said, the metaphors of Buffy were the horrors of adolescence. I think I look young, but I am not an adolescent."
She recently spoke about “hostile” behaviour behind the scenes, almost a year after her co-star Charisma Carpenter made the same accusation at the show's creator Joss Whedon.
Sarah claimed that women were “pitted against each other” as women were deemed ‘threatening’ if they formed friendships.
“For so long, I was on a set that I think was known for being an extremely toxic male set,” Sarah told The Wrap.
“And so that was ingrained in my head that, that was what all sets were like, and that women were pitted against each other — that if women became friends, then we became too powerful, so you had to keep that down.”
