Sarah Ferguson shares sweet Coronation hope for the UK with sweet tribute to the Queen

Sarah Ferguson has shared photos of a corgi at a table where tea and cake has been prepared along with plenty of bunting as she hopes everyone is ready for the Coronation.

King Charles's Coronation will see a host of famous faces from around the world gather at Westminster Abbey, but Fergie will be a well-known royal absentee.

The Duchess of York, 63, was snubbed by Charles for the historic occasion, but she said she wasn't offended by it.

She also said she didn't get an invite because she and Prince Andrew were divorced.

And as to show she was holding no animosity ahead of the big day, she took to Instagram to publish pictures of a corgi, in a nod to the late Queen, and a table laid out for tea with mentions of Charles and Camilla - as well as plenty of Union Jacks.

Fergie wrote: “I hope you have got the bunting out ready for the Coronation tomorrow. I certainly have.

“Today I assembled a tea fit for a King which I shared with the residents at the Manor Care Home in Windsor to help them celebrate. Enjoy the weekend!”

In some of the pictures, a Corgi can be seen sitting at the table, and one shows the dog looking eagerly at the cake.

She has previously spoken candidly about her fond affection for the late Queen, having described her as "more of a mother to me than my own".

Sarah stressed the family unit was a huge factor for her after growing up without a mother from the age of 12.

And she lavished praise on the late Queen for being the mother figure in her life when she was a working royal during her 10-year marriage with Andrew, between 1986 and 1996.

She added that she is in "awe" of her children, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who she describes as becoming "wonderful mothers" to Sienna and August, respectively.
