Voters in San Francisco, California, will decide on 11 ballot measures on Nov. 3, 2026, including six charter amendments, four ordinances, and one regional measure.
Two measures concern the public transportation system:
- Proposition RTM - The multi-county initiative is on the ballot in San Francisco and Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties. If approved, the measure would levy a sales tax for 14 years and use the revenue to fund public transportation systems in the region. In San Francisco, the tax would be levied at a rate of 1%; in all other counties, the tax would be levied at a rate of 0.5%.
- Proposition H - The initiative would create a parcel tax, in effect for a period of 15 years, to fund San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency operations.
