Samsung's artsy TV could be even bigger next year

Samsung The Frame 2022 review.
Quick Summary

Samsung's The Frame TV could be even bigger next year.

A new rumour suggests a 98-inch version could launch at CES.

There are few changes to TV technology which have brought about a change quite as sweeping as Samsung's The Frame. Giving the classic flat panel design a total overhaul, the range is designed to look more like a piece of art hanging on your wall.

That's achieved with an anti-glare display, which is matte in finish, and designed to minimise reflections. The theme continues on the software side, where the brand offers a range of different artworks to display via the aptly named Art Store.

Now, rumours suggest the model could come in an even bigger size in the coming months. Currently, the largest version of The Frame you can buy enjoys an 85-inch display, but a report from SamMobile suggests there could be a 98-inch model next year.

That cites another report at FlatPanelsHD, which simply says, "Samsung's The Frame currently tops out at 85 inches, but the database lists a 98-inch version for 2026."

The information in that report comes from Samsung's European spare parts database, which gives it a good degree of credence. It certainly not a cast-iron guarantee – there is, of course, always a chance that things like this exist, but don't reach a commercial end point.

Still, it's a progression which would make sense. Bigger TVs are all the rage, and a bigger version of a TV designed to be less intrusive feels like the ultimate juxtaposition.

It's unlikely to be the only rumour of this ilk in the coming weeks. With CES 2026 happening right at the start of the year, many of the biggest tech brands in the world are expected to unveil their new products for the year.

If this rumour is anything to go by, I think it could be a solid year for new releases. With only a few weeks to go before the show starts, we don't have long to wait!
