Samsung issues new Galaxy warning and ignoring latest advice could break your phone

If you've recently treated yourself to a shiny new Galaxy S23 and want to keep it safe from dents and scratches you might be best buying official accessories rather than cheap versions via sites such as eBay. That's the latest advice from Samsung with the Korean firm warning that using cases and protectors from unauthorised sellers can end up doing more harm than good.

According to the new advice, which has been posted on Samsung's Community page, placing lens protectors onto the rear snapper can end up causing scratches and even allow dust or moisture to ruin the camera.

"Be careful when attaching and using non-genuine accessories to the Galaxy S23 and camera," Samsung said in the post.
