Samantha Mumba revealed she is in Ireland filming Irish TV series Harry Wild.
The Irish singer, who is based in the US, shared her excitement about the job as she posted a snap from her first day shooting on social media.
Posing beside a filming trailer door, with the name ‘Paula Kenny, Harry Wild’ written beside her, she said: “Day one done!! #HarryWild”
Fans and famous friends flocked to congratulate the 'Gotta Tell You' hitmaker on the new gig, with Linda Nolan saying: “Amazing, can’t wait to watch.”
“We love to see it,” another said in support.
A third friend wrote: “OMG is your stage name Paula, Kenny? I am changing you in my phone. That is such a fun name!!!!”
The Dublin-set, Jane Seymour-starring mystery series is currently filming season two, after being greenlit for a follow up series by US network AMC for its streaming service Acorn TV.
The hit series will see Seymour return as Harry Wild, a recently retired English professor who finds her way into the cases assigned to her garda detective son, Charlie, for a further twelve episodes in 2023.
A hit in Ireland after its RTE launch earlier this year, the show which also stars Amy Huberman and a host of Irish stars, has also performed well around the globe with huge popularity in America, the UK and New Zealand.
AMC said the show had become "the most successful series launch and most-watched season of any series on Acorn TV in 2022".
"We knew this series was special from the beginning and could not be more thrilled by the response of Acorn TV viewers to this first season of Harry Wild and to see the remarkable Jane Seymour leading and producing a thrilling murder mystery on our platform," said Matt Graham, General Manager of Acorn TV at the Television Critics Association press tour in the US on Wednesday.
The cast also includes Stuart Graham, Rohan Nedd, Rose O'Neill and Paul Tylak.
Harry Wild is created and written by David Logan (Lost Christmas) with Jo Spain, who wrote the RTÉ drama Taken Down and is the author of the best-selling Inspector Tom Reynolds series.
