Sam Lammers' Rangers training ground goal has fans buzzing as he delivers taster of what to expect

Sam Lammers has delivered a taster of what is to come at Rangers and the supporters can't get enough.

The attacker arrived this summer as part of Michael Beale's overhaul with the grand total of incomings standing at six at this moment - with the boss wanting to bring another couple of players on board ahead of challenging Celtic's domestic dominance and also making a push to qualify for the Champions League with two qualifying hurdles to be negotiated.

Lammers has penned on the dotted line after joining from Atalanta in Serie A and has been getting down to business with his new team-mates. The Ibrox men are currently in Germany being put through their paces as the old and new faces bid to create bonds both on and off the park with Alan Hutton one pundit praising Beale for getting his work in the market done as early as possible to allow plenty of time to get his ideas across.

Rangers have been keeping fans updated on their progress in the early part of the season by uploading social media clips and pictures. They got a glimpse of Kemar Roofe rounding off a training drill by firing high into the net but it is the touch and strike from Lammers that has got the Ibrox faithful buzzing to see the new man in action.

In response to the video, one fan wrote: "That is genuinely beautiful."

Another posted: "Think he's going to surprise a lot of people next season, buzzing to see how he links up with Cantwell on the pitch."

A further supporter added: "He'll score for fun up here."

One other punter claimed: "He's winning us the lot."

A number of fans even shared GIFs of a previous wonder strike from Thierry Henry during his Arsenal days for comparison in a big show of praise.

Speaking after signing for Rangers, Lammers said: “At every club you want to win as many games as possible and it is all about winning in this sport, but I miss the feeling of having to win every game.Rangers have to win every week and the bar is really high, but this is only a positive thing, and it is good for me as a player.

I am really excited to play for Rangers, it is a big club and it is a good opportunity for me. The first contact was with the manager, he spoke to me directly, it gave me a good feeling and he told me what I was looking for.

“I needed a new home, the last few years I have been on loan a couple of times so it is good that I can sign for Rangers and have a new home and a place to feel good again.

“I gained a lot of experience, I have been in a lot of different clubs, a lot of different situations. They have not all been the best experiences, but I think from every experience I became stronger, I got better and now I am ready to show it here."
