Rangers are weighing up an approach for West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, according to a report.
The Premiership champions have been linked with an ambitious move for the England keeper as it remains unclear if first choice Allan McGregor will continue after this season.
29-year-old Johnstone, capped three times for his country, is out of contract at the Championship club at the end of the season with promotion to the English Premier League looking unlikely.
Johnstone will hope to be in Gareth Southgate's squad heading to the World Cup but will need regular minutes.
The Daily Mail report that Rangers have "expressed their interest" in the stopper, claiming he is being eyed as they seek a replacement for Allan McGregor.
However, they face plenty of competition to land the goalkeeper on a pre-contract deal.
Tottenham, Newcastle, Southampton and West Ham are all credited with an interest in Johnstone going into the summer.
Gio van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson have already shown they are keen on the summer free agent market with John Souttar arriving in the summer from Hearts.
Schalke keeper Martin Fraisl was also linked earlier this year.
