Sam Heughan is prone to posting some selfies on Instagram but his latest one is very different to his usual photos.
The 41-year-old recently brought out his own brand of tequila and to celebrate he took part in a photoshoot in Mexico, gracing a horse and wearing a cowboy hat.
At the end of last year, the Outlander star announced that he had joined up with El Tequileño Master Distiller Antonio Salles to create a new limited edition 'Sassenach Select' tequila following the success of his whisky brand.
And now, as he posed on top of a horse with a bandana around his neck paired with a straw hat, he wrote: "Can’t wait for you to taste a little bit of Mexico! @sassenachspirits."
And his loyal fans were so excited about the new drink, they were quick to comment.
One wrote: "I can’t wait til mine gets here! But I also won’t want to open the bottle any time soon! It’s just so pretty."
Another added: "This is your cue to make a western movie lol."
While one said: "It’s won an award so obviously fantastic, just unfortunate that it’s not available in the UK for us to taste it’s magnificence."
Sam, who set up his spirits company at the start of last year, has won multiple awards for his Sassenach Whisky (so named for the pet name his character Jamie has given Caitriona Balfe's Claire on the show) and sold out several batches to delighted fans.
Just yesterday, it was announced that he won a prestigious tequila award for the Sassenach Select Spirits.
The judges praised the tequila for its “clean and fresh palate with increasing savoury notes, honey, vanilla, late pepper and bitter herbals”.
The 41-year-old tweeted: "Gold Medal! I’m proud to share our Master Medal win #TheSpiritsMasters."
Revealing that bottles are now available to pre-order, he added: "Hope you’ll try a bottle of our award winning tequila! Slàinte and Salud! @SassenachSpirit X"
