Jamie said his stylish black and gold barbershop - which takes its name from the area's telephone dialling code - is "fit for a king" as he welcomed his first customers through the door on Wednesday, February 16.
"I’m excited to open it and start building a legacy," he said.
"I’m still going to be doing a VIP mobile service so if Patrick, any of the Fender team, or footballers, don’t have time to come to the shop, I will still be able to go to them."
Starting out aged 14, Jamie swept up hair at Paul's barbershop on the Coast Road, Wallsend before going on to train with Joe Fletcher in Whitley Ba y and honing his talents at The Men's Room in the Metrocentre.
Four years ago, he became a mobile barber and as word spread about his work, Jamie started to received messages from North East celebrities and footballers including former Newcastle United winger Cal Roberts and ex-Huddersfield Town striker Lee Novak.
Jamie was put in contact with Sam Fender after meeting his manager on the Tactical 45 Hell Week personal training course in Whitley Bay.
He said the North Shields star was so pleased after his first cut that he is now a regular client and even trimmed his hair for the star's Utilita Arena show in Newcastle in November last year.
"Off the back of the first cut, I got to do the 'Seventeen Going Under' and 'Spit of You' videos," he said.
"The biggest one was when I was booked for the arena gig in November. I was backstage with him, it was mad.
"It is way beyond what I dreamt of sweeping floors 12 years ago."
Jamie also had the experience of a lifetime when was invited to Creamfields festival last summer to cut the hair of North Shields DJ Patrick Topping, having done his hair for the last three years.
But despite his celebrity kudos, Jamie said he just wants to be the best he can be as he launched his new barbershop.
He said: "I want to put Newcastle on the nationwide and international map by making 0191 Barbershop one of the best in the UK and Europe."
0191 Barbershop will be open from 10am to 10pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
