Sam Faiers has revealed she has been finding it challenging to breastfeed her newborn baby Edward, admitting it has been a "rocky road".
The 31-year-old former TOWIE star shares three children with her partner Paul Knightley - Paul, 6, Rosie, 4, and two-month-old Edward.
She previously breastfed Paul Jr. and Rosie until they were 15 months old.
Sam had planned to do the same with her newborn son, but says it has been "tough" and at times "painful". She said Edward has a weak latch which often results in him taking in air and becoming gassy.
"With Edward it’s been tough. His latch hasn’t been as strong. We’re getting there but it’s been a rocky road.
"I’ve had two occasions now where I’ve had blocked ducts and it’s so painful," she told OK! magazine.
Sam added: "He's coming off the boob with his weak latch and taking in air and crying because he's gassy. It's a vicious circle."
The mum-of-three has previously opened up about juggling her life with a newborn and two young children.
Speaking on her Instagram Stories last month, Sam told her followers it's "tough" but she is proud of herself and her partner Paul.
She wrote: "Back to school tomorrow for Paul & Rosie, wow what a week, although we had a lovely time (especially the kids), it has been tough
"Not going to pretend it was perfect. I'm very proud of myself and Paul juggling life as a family of 5 these past few weeks. I'd say we're still adjusting and not even halfway there yet."
Sam added: "For anyone reading this who has had a baby, it takes time, do not think you are the only one.
"Do things at your own pace, there's no rush. It's not an overnight thing."
Sam also said Edward has been quite windy, despite being exclusively breastfed.
She wrote: "He's been getting wind, so I've been expressing off before he feeds to release some milk to make it easier for him.
"I honestly feel like a human cow atm, anyways early night for us, love you baby, sweet dreams."
