Relegation-threatened Leeds United look set to appoint former Everton manager Sam Allardyce as their replacement for Javi Gracia when his sacking is confirmed.
And now details are emerging in the national media which suggest he will be in line for £3m if he manages to keep Leeds up.
Allardyce, 68, was at the Goodison Park helm for 26 games in all competitions between November 2017 and May 2018 as he now prepares to have a different say in their Premier League future. Everton are still locked in the bottom three - one point from safety - after their 2-2 draw against Leicester City.

Following that Monday night showdown, there is only one point separating four teams near to the bottom with 20th-placed Southampton still someway adrift. Above them stand Leeds, Leicester, Nottingham Forest (all on 30 points) and the Blues on 29 points.
After watching Leicester and Southampton replace their managers in recent weeks - not to mention Sean Dyche stepping into the Everton hotseat when Frank Lampard was sacked in January - the Whites are seemingly now following suit with their second managerial change this season.
In fact, Leeds only appointed Gracia in February when Jesse Marsch was dismissed. Allardyce will now take over after more than two years without a job.
According to the Times, Allardyce is in line for a "basic salary of £500,000, with a bonus of more than £2.5 million if he can maintain the club’s top-flight status." Reports suggest he will be joined in the dugout by ex-MK Dons and Oxford United manager Karl Robinson, and former Liverpool man Robbie Keane.
The Times report also claims Allardyce sounded out ex-Reds man Sammy Lee for a backroom role - "but the former Liverpool player is on jury service".
After leaving Everton coming up five years ago, Allardyce spent six months at West Brom between December 2020 and June 2021 - and his impending appointment at Elland Road will be the first coaching position Allardyce has held since.
Reports from The Athletic suggest Allardyce could even take training for the first time today and that official confirmation will follow when details have been ironed out between the club - and Gracia - with regards to his dismissal. It's expected Allardyce will, effectively, sign a four-match contract.
