Salt Papi ranks Jake Paul over KSI in influencer boxing ratings as star eyes fight

Tik Tok star Salt Papi feels Jake Paul would beat KSI if the pair were to fight, while he is keen to face either man.

The social media sensation from the Philippines has taken YouTube boxing by storm with his knockout wins over Andy Warski and Josh Brueckner, and faces Anthony Taylor on May 13 at Wembley Arena. But speaking on the MMA Hour yesterday, he detailed how he feels Paul would defeat his fellow Misfits Boxing star KSI.

He faces a former sparring partner of Paul's next time out, and if he can upset the odds and win he would be expected to catapult into talks for the biggest fights in the space. He is keen to face either Paul or KSI, with Tommy Fury also on his hit list before he considers a move into legitimate professional boxing.

Asked by host Ariel Helwani to rank his top influencer boxers, the fighter replied: "I would put Jake Paul first, maybe put KSI second, then I'll put myself third." He was then quizzed on who would win between Paul and both Nate Diaz or KSI, picking the American to win both.

"Right now, it feels like Jake has more boxing experience and boxing skills," he added. "But we need to see how KSI goes against Joe Fournier on May 13 and we can go from there." The Tik Tok star then claimed that he wouldn't beat either of KSI or Paul, joking that he has to "tell them that they will win so they accept the fight."

Salt Papi, whose real name is Nathaniel, is keen to move his way through the ranks, but fears that he may have scared off potential opponents with his recent wins. He laboured to a points victory in his debut against Halal Ham before blasting out Warski within seconds and putting down former MMA fighter Brueckner within two rounds.

"All the influencers don't want the smoke," he explained. "That's why I have to fight a real fighter. They're just scared, scared of my knockout punching power, they don't want to go to sleep and also I like a real challenge and that's why I've decided I'm fighting this guy. I'd be scared as well if I were them.

"If I saw this guy knocking out Josh Brueckner a 6'1" MMA fighter like that with just one punch, I'd be scared too. I first met Anthony on Showstar, the first event I fought in, a very cool nice guy but I always knew we were going to fight in the future. He's always there, he's my weight, so I knew he was going to be my competition. I think he's going to get knocked out if he makes mistakes."
