Salford restaurant offering free hot drinks to all shoppers throughout January

A Salford restaurant is offering shoppers free tea and coffee all month in a bid to beat the January blues, cold weather and cost of living crisis in one. Café Rouge is giving away the winter warmers from Monday to Friday - with no strings attached.

The French-inspired restaurant chain at The Lowry Outlet Mall is offering guests a tea or Americano on the house across, making it the perfect pitstop or lunch break haunt.

Shoppers will be able to order a regular tea or coffee between 11.30am and 4.30pm any day between Monday and Friday, without paying a penny at the till.

The offer gives people an opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy a free treat, whether people are looking for a mid-morning treat, planning a catch-up with friends after the holidays, or craving a friendly chat with a welcoming server in what can often be a tough month.

Tom Patrick, Head of Marketing at Café Rouge, said: “We know that January tends to be a difficult month, both emotionally and financially, for people following the holidays, even more so this year with the cost-of-living crisis impacting people across the country.

“We wanted to introduce this offer to welcome guests who are feeling blue to visit one of our warm and friendly venues to relax and enjoy themselves. Our teams are really excited about this initiative and cannot wait to greet both new and familiar faces visiting our sites with a warm welcome.”

Known for its inviting and cosy atmosphere, Café Rouge Salford, serve breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes daily, with menus inspired by the best of French cuisine.

And if you’re looking for things to do nearby to justify the run out, you can always check out the Old Trafford War Museum, The Lowry Theatre and Manchester University, with artwork inspired by the Lowry French art movement. Oui!
