Comedian and TV host Conan O'Brien has revealed that a painful scalp sunburn, not a sudden change in style, is behind the slicked-back hairstyle that recently caught fans' attention.
O'Brien, 63, said he developed the burn after attending the outdoor opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago on June 18. Although he applied sunscreen to his face before the event, he said he failed to protect his scalp from the sun.
