The Saints will make the first selection of the fourth round of the 2023 NFL draft after making a trade with the Bears.
Chicago traded its No. 103 pick to New Orleans about 45 minutes before the fourth round was slated to begin on Saturday. In return, the Saints traded their No. 115 pick and the Eagles’ No. 165 pick in the fifth round to Chicago, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
New Orleans recent move comes after the Saints selected Notre Dame defensive lineman Isaiah Foskey in the second round. The Saint also selected TCU running back Kendre Miller in the third round of the draft, who will play alongside running backs Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams.
With the changes, New Orleans will now only have four selections in Day 3 of the draft. They include Nos. 103 in the third round, 146 in the fifth round and 227 and 257 in the seventh round.
Chicago will have six draft picks on Saturday, starting with two in the fourth round (Nos. 115, 133), two in the fifth round (Nos. 148, 165) and two in the seventh round (Nos. 218, 258).
