The Atlanta Falcons are in prime position to take control of the NFC South this Sunday when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. Falcons fans can thank the Jacksonville Jaguars, who knocked off the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night.
The Jaguars held a 24-9 lead, but the Saints fought back to tie the game at 24. However, Jacksonville scored again to go up 31-24 and New Orleans couldn’t convert on fourth down in the red zone.
The Saints are now 3-4, and since the Carolina Panthers still looking for their first win of the season, the winner of Sunday’s game will lead the NFC South after seven weeks.
