St Kilda coach Ross Lyon is urging his players not to become Gold Coast's first road kill of 2024 when the teams go head to head at Marvel Stadium.
The Suns have made a bright start to life under new coach Damien Hardwick, winning seven of their first 12 games to give themselves a solid chance of making finals for the first time.
Their perfect seven-from-seven 'home' record - on the Gold Coast and in Darwin - has included victories over top-four fancies Geelong and Essendon.
But being the visiting side has been Gold Coast's kryptonite this season, with the Suns 0-5 at an average losing margin of 38.4 away from their Carrara and Marrara fortresses.
Gold Coast have the chance to end that rut on Saturday against a St Kilda side that have won only twice in the past eight games.
Lyon has put his side on notice for a fired-up Suns outfit.
"They're on record, they want to get it done away from home," Lyon said.
"There's big swings, wild fluctuations in there on the scoreboard (from Gold Coast), and in their profile.
"It would be fair to say, there's a couple of times in Melbourne, like against Carlton, where it was just the last quarter (that cost the Suns).
"We're building, and they're trying to improve their away record.
"We don't want to be a victim to the Gold Coast Suns. We want to fight the fight, and we want them to be in a battle with us."
There's been plenty of talk this week about the McKay twins - Essendon's Ben and Carlton's Harry - going head-to-head for the first time.
The Saints-Suns match will also feature a twin rivalry, with Gold Coast spearhead Ben King at one end, and St Kilda forward Max King at the other.
The brothers have faced off just twice before in their AFL careers, but they will get the chance to have another crack after Max King was cleared of a knee injury.
"I hadn't even thought about it," Hardwick said of the twins' face-off.
"We're pumped with the way Ben's going, and Max is a really good player as well."
Ben King is on track for a career-best season after kicking 36.13 across 12 games so far.
Brother Max has endured a tougher time, restricted to 14.9 across nine games.
It's a far cry from his breakout season of 2022, when he finished with 52 goals.
