Saints adjust travel plans to Cleveland, citing inclement weather forecast

This is probably a smart move. There’s severe winter weather threatening this weekend, so the New Orleans Saints have decided to fly out earlier than expected ahead of Week 16’s road game with the Cleveland Browns. The team announced Tuesday that they’ll depart New Orleans after practice on Thursday, getting them to Cleveland with plenty of time to spare before kickoff on Saturday.

The Saints and Browns will kick off at noon CT as part of the NFL’s slate of games on Christmas Eve, with wind and snow in the forecast for FirstEnergy Stadium. Conditions are looking miserable, so it’s a good idea to get in town early in case complications arise. If you’ve got tickets to this game, maybe consider making travel plan adjustments of your own.
