Sainsbury's has announced it is going to cut hundreds of jobs as it shakes up part of its business. The supermarket giant has said it will outsource roles currently in its support centres.
A spokesman has told Business Live the move comes as it aims to make the business more "simple, nimble and efficient". And they said it was part of a strategy to put food back at its heart.
The affected positions cover food commercial, finance operations, people services and Human Resources. The roles will be outsourced to Accenture. Those affected are based at its central offices in Manchester, Holborn in London and Ansty in Warwickshire.
