Sainsbury's is scrapping 'best before' dates on hundreds of products to tackle food waste

Sainsbury’s has become the latest supermarket to ditch “best before” dates as part of plans to reduce food waste.

The grocer has confirmed it will scrap dates labels from 276 own brand products.

From the end of August, the retailer will remove “best before” dates on over 100 fresh produce lines, including pears, onions, tomatoes, and citrus fruits.
